Stanley E. Walton

October 29, 1942 — January 15, 2008

Stanley E. "Stan the Man" Walton, 65, of Shelbyville passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2008. Born October 29, 1942, in Shelbyville he was the son of Eddie E. and Margaret J. (Robertson) Walton. He married Barbara L. Theobald on September 14, 1962, and she survives. Other survivors include his sons, Chuck (wife, Anita) Walton and Bobby Walton, both of Shelbyville; sisters, Viola Fewell and Linda Boles, both of Shelbyville, and Letha Hall of Rushville; and grandsons, Josh Walton, Derek Walton and Justin Walton, all of Shelbyville. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters. Mr. Walton was a salesman for Moorman Feed Co. in Quincy, Illinois from 1968 to 1994. He then drove a bus for Shelby Eastern and Shelby Central schools and was head of maintenance at Coulston Elementary School. He currently drove for Hauk-Spencer Medicar. He graduated from Waldron High School in 1962. Mr. Walton was a member of LIttle Blue River Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge No. 28 F&AM and past member of Morristown Lions Club. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Langdon officiating. Cremation will follow.
