Stanley Wayne Copple

Stanley Wayne Copple, 70, of Morristown, passed away Monday, December 8, 2014 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born March 9, 1944, in Shelby County, the son of Eugene and Mildred (Everhart) Copple. He married Janet Rennick on May 5, 1980, and she survives. Other survivors include his mother of Fountaintown; brothers, Mike Copple and wife, Donna, of Fountaintown and Steve Copple and wife, Janice, of Mesquite, Nevada; sister, Joan Carmichael and husband, Dennis, of Knightstown; father-in-law, Rudy Rennick of Greenfield; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; and a brother, Danny Copple. Stanley graduated from New Palestine High School in 1962 and attended Indiana Central Business College. He was a member of Fountaintown United Methodist Church. Stanley served as a cook in the Army National Guard. He formerly worked at Hook Drug Company. He also owned and operated McBane Vault Company, retiring in 2005. Stanley enjoyed fishing, cooking and playing cards with his nephews. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 12, 2014 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 13, 2014 at the funeral home. Interment will be at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown. Memorial contributions may be made to Willow Branch United Methodist Church, 6244 N. Thomas St., Willow Branch, IN 46186.
