The Rev. Susan Lynn Davis, 44, of Fairland, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Select Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born May 27, 1969, in Shelbyville, the daughter of Everett “Ego” and Wilma (Merrell) Davis.
Susan is survived by her brother, Steven Merrell Davis and wife, Tammy, of Morristown; nieces, Janice Louise Davis and Mikayla Grace Davis; nephew, Steven Everett Davis; and many loving friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Susan graduated from Morristown High School in 1987; Ball State University in 1992, with a degree in education; and received a Master of Divinity from the Christian Theological Seminary.
She was a member of Fountaintown United Methodist Church.
Susan was the minister at Fairland United Methodist Church for 13 years and a taught English, Literature and U. S. History at Indianapolis Public Schools for 21 years.
She enjoyed traveling, reading and playing bridge and other games.
Susan loved spending time with her family.
A gathering of friends will be from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Fairland United Methodist Church, 205 W. Washington St., in Fairland.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at the church, with Pastor Ben Biggs and Rev. Jim Cherry officiating.
Interment will be at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown at 2 p.m.
Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 124 E. North St. in Morristown.
