T. Dale Hoban, 100, of Shelbyville passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Cypress Run in Morristown.
He was born May 22, 1919, in Rush County, the son of Herbert Jr. and Blanche L. (Hinton) Hoban. On August 27, 1939, he married Mary Marjorie Reed, and she preceded him in death on June 25, 1996.
Dale is survived by his son, Robert D. “Bob” Hoban and wife, Claudia, of Venice, Florida; daughter, Judith Doss and husband, Steve, of St. Louis, Missouri; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to Mary, Dale was preceded in death by his daughter, Jane Ann Brandt; a grandson, Craig Doss; and son-in-law, Max Brandt.
Dale was a 1937 graduate of Waldron High School.
He was a lifelong farmer and Shelby County resident.
Dale was a 100-year member of Waldron United Methodist Church, where he was super salesman for the Pork Chop Dinner for numerous years.
He was also a member of Indiana Farm Bureau.
Dale loved to help others.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Pastor Dave Galbraith officiating.
Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
