T. S. Macy, 98, of Morristown passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at Morristown Manor.
Born June 26, 1909, in Shelby County, he was the son of Thomas S. and Mary W. (Minor) Macy. He married Marie Eileen Ramsey on November 30, 1943, and she survives.
Other survivors include his daughters, Kathy J. Groves of Indianapolis and Lois Macy of Shelbyville; son, Steve (wife, Jane) Macy of Shelbyville; sisters, Caroline Linville of Arlington; and grandchildren, Tom Macy, Matthew Groves and Nathan Groves.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Marie Baldwin, Deborah White, Crystal Fair, Catherine Macy and Thelma Tiley; and brothers, John Macy and Edwin Macy.
Mr. Macy had been a farmer, and employed in construction and in a stone quarry. He retired in 1974.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Macy graduated in 1927 from Arlington High School.
He was a member of the Little Blue River Friends Church, Morristown.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Little Blue River Friends Church, 142 S. 1000W, Rush County.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Interment will be in Little Blue River Friends Cemetery in Rush County.
Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St., in Morristown, is handling the arrangements.
