Tabitha M. Floyd

Tabitha M. Floyd, 91, of Morristown, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. She was born September 26, 1922, in London, Kentucky, the daughter of Jesse and Lucy (Boone) Floyd. On February 13, 1943, she married her husband of 57 years, Birchel O. Floyd, and he preceded her in death on August 10, 2000. Survivors include her sons, Birchel O. Floyd, Jr. of Phoenix, Arizona and Dale B. Floyd of Bedford, Virginia; daughters, O. Louise White and Margaret Lorene “Renee” Lowe, both of Clearwater, Florida; sister, Julia Marie Jones of London, Kentucky; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and sons, Elmer H. Floyd and Edward E. Floyd. A gathering of friends will be from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Morristown Christian Church, 209 S. Washington St. in Morristown. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the church, with Pastor Gary Jones officiating. Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown. Memorial contributions may be made to the Morristown Boys and Girls Club, 210 S. Washington, Morristown, Indiana 46161.
