Teresa Marie Marshall

Teresa Marie Marshall, 58, of Shelbyville, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at MHP Medical Center in Shelbyville. She was born May 12, 1959, at the Naval Base in Portsmouth, Virginia, the daughter of Ralph W. “Bill” and Virginia (Haywood) Marshall. Teresa is survived by her mother of Shelbyville; sisters, Sharon Orem and husband, Jon, of Shelbyville, and Glenda Munger and husband, Steven, of Greensburg; brothers, John Marshall and fiancé, Denise Brewer, and Bruce A. Marshall, both of Shelbyville; nieces and nephews, Joshua, Rev. Tyler and Isabelle Orem, Betsy S. Ramos, Jared and fiancé, Amber Pennington, Michael and Naomi, Robert and Angel, Susan and Kathleen Marshall, Natalie Ratliff and husband, Justin, SSgt Ashley Munger, Stephanie and Kyle Munger, SPC Justin Marshall and wife, Casey, Zachary Marshall and fiancé, Kayla Barngrover and Rylann Marshall; great-nieces and nephews, Grace, Melia, Madasyn, Joyanna, Alaina, Triton, Emberlyn, Cordela and Solomon. She was preceded in death by her father; maternal grandparents, LTC J.E. Haywood, USA (Ret) and Isabella Haywood; paternal grandparents, Harry and Ruth Marshall; and maternal great-grandfather, William H. Delly. Teresa graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1977 and attended Professional Careers Institute. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Teresa formerly worked at Triple A and Target. She retired from the State of Indiana, where she worked in the Bureau of Motor Vehicles and later at Department of Natural Resources, where she was the Inns Specialist for the Division of State Parks and Reservoirs, with 30 years of combined service. She was a member of the Thursday night mixed bowling league, Delta Theta Tau Sorority (membership at large) and the USBC. Teresa loved bowling, traveling, playing euchre and canasta, working word search puzzles, and attending every celebration and event of her many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, November 3, 2017 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 4, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 125 E. Broadway Street in Shelbyville, with Father Mike Keucher and Rev. Tyler Orem officiating. Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Shelbyville. Memorial contributions may be made to Shelbyville-Shelby County Public Library, 57 W.
