Teressa Diane Matney, 56, of Arlington died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, at her home.
Born April 24, 1953, she was the daughter of Maggie (Denton) Felty. She married James Henry ?Junior? Matney Jr. on Aug. 15, 1970, and he survives.
Other survivors include her sons, Jonathan Lee (wife, Kimberly) Matney and Christopher Alan (wife, Kimberly) Matney, both of Shelbyville; daughters, Nancy Sarah (husband, Michael) Purtlebaugh of Franklin and Margaret Louise (husband, Michael) McQueary of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Kara, Mikalia, Cody, Skyler, Karli, Mike, Tristan, Nellie, Kai and Kelsey; ?sister,? Jeanie (husband, Dick) Mock of Little Marion; brothers in-law, Jerry ?JW? Matney of Shelbyville, David (wife, Kathy) Matney of Arlington and Virgil (wife, Sherry) Matney of Carthage; sisters-in-law, Pauline (husband, Donald) Waggoner of Gwynneville, Martha (husband, Steve) Clabough of Arlington; mother-in-law, Pricey Matney of Morristown; special friend, Johnny (wife, Melissa) McClintock; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother and brother, James Felty.
Mrs. Matney was a homemaker. She previously was a certified nursing assistant at Morristown Manor and Rushville Hospital and employed at PK USA for several years.
She had attended Southwestern High School.
Mrs. Matney was a member of Franklin Memorial Christian Church and Shelbyville Sportsman Club.
She loved her children and grandchildren, was an avid bingo player, enjoyed playing cards and liked to sing and paint. Many of her children?s friends called her mom.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donald Waggoner officiating.
Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
