Tilman Jacob Adkins

Tilman Jacob “Tilly” Adkins, 17, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2016 in Shelby County. He was born May 4, 1998, in Indianapolis, the son of Aaron and Allison (Springer) Adkins. Tilman is survived by his parents of Shelbyville; brothers, Sam Adkins and Jack Adkins, both of Shelbyville; grandmother, Renea Adkins of Franklin; grandparents, Debbie and Tom Springer of Beech Grove; uncles, Joe Adkins of Greenwood, Lance Adkins of North Carolina and Rob Springer and wife, Trina, of Warsaw; and his extended family members. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Samuel Adkins and grandmother, Deila Adkins. Tilman was a senior at Waldron High School. He had worked at McDonald’s at Saint Paul, for 1 1/2 years. Tilman loved to spend time with his brothers, watching movies and playing baseball and basketball. He enjoyed reading and listening to music. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 pm Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
