Timothy Austin Herron, 53, of Flat Rock, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015 at his residence. He was born February 27, 1962, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, the son of Charles and Linda (Austin) Herron. Timothy is survived by his father, of Indianapolis; a son, Austin Herron of Flat Rock; daughters, Hillary Herron and companion, Chett Krise, of Flat Rock, Sarah Surface and Helen Surface, both of North Carolina, and Laura McKinley of Oklahoma;; brothers, Nathan Herron and wife, Tracy, and Steve Herron and wife, Cathy, both of Indianapolis; sisters, Laura Dixon and husband, Jeff, Pam Reeder and Trish Reeder, all of Indianapolis, and Elaine Craven and husband, Don, of Florida; and many nieces and nephews and close friends. He was preceded in death by his mother; and sister, Cindy Burdine. Timothy attended Kirkwood Community College. He was formerly a welder at PKUSA for seven years. Timothy enjoyed cars and motorcycles. He also liked to canoe, kayak, go white water rafting. He was an outdoorsman. A gathering of friends will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville. A memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow in Fairland Cemetery in Fairland. Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Association of Shelby County, P.O. Box 844, Shelbyville, Indiana 46176.
