Timothy Wayne Callahan, 67, of Shelbyville died Saturday, Nov. 18, 2006, at Major Hospital.
Born April 1, 1939, in Shelbyville, he was the son of Glen and Pauline (Yarling) Callahan. He married Bonnie Lou Willey on July 22, 1960, and she survives.
Other survivors include his mother of Shelbyville; two sons, Brian (wife, Mary) Callahan of Shelbyville and Brent (wife, Rose) Callahan of Manilla; two daughters, Carmen (husband, Mark) Farnsley and Christal (husband, Chris) Culp, both of Shelbyville; one brother, Kent (wife, Sharon) Callahan; and 15 grandchildren. Corey Callahan, Kelly Callahan, Thomas Callahan, Sarah Callahan, Joe Callahan, Kyle Callahan, Sean Callahan, Brad Callahan, Melissa Callahan, Amanda Callahan, Michael Farnsley, Brian Farnsley, KayAnn Farnsley, Bailey Culp and Madilyn Culp.
He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Albert Callahan and Larry Callahan.
Mr. Callahan lived his entire life in Shelby County.
He was a lifelong farmer, starting as a young boy.
Mr. Callahan graduated in 1958 from Waldron High School.
He was a member of Rays Crossing Christian Union Church, where he was the first elder, and the Farm Credit Services advisory board.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Broadway Chapel, 232 W. Broadway St.; and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Shelbyville Community Church, 720 N. 325E.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Mark Farnsley officiating.
Burial will be in Bennett Cemetery in Shelby County.
