Trillis J. Stewart, 71, of Shelbyville passed away Saturday, July 4, 2009 at her residence.
Born April 6, 1938 in Cambridge City, she was the daughter of Wilford C. and Audrey M. (Goldman) Pavey.
Other survivors include her children, Bradley (wife, Cathy) Ray of Fishers and Kimberly (husband, Steve) Mitchell of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; step-children, Kathy (husband, Phil) Green of Columbus, Kristy (husband, Terry) Spence of Muncie and Tony (wife, Michelle) Stewart of New Castle; brother, Gene Pavey of New Castle; grandchildren, Josh Meyer, Lindsey Cash, Emily Mitchell, Melissa Mitchell, Jessica Stewart, Drew Stewart, Spencer Stewart, Emilie Stewart, Carly Ray and Sam Ray; great-grandchildren, Eli Cash and Allison Meyer.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Stewart had worked at Citizen State Bank for 18 years, prior to retiring in 1990.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, where she was an active member, PEO and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
Mrs. Stewart was an avid golfer.
She graduated from New Castle Chrysler High School in 1956.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church, 34 W. Washington St., Shelbyville, Indiana with calling there one half hour prior to the service.
Interment will be in South Mound Cemetery in New Castle at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
