Ty Michael Garlitch, 27, of Shelbyville, died Friday, May 5, 2006.
Born May 7, 1978, in Shelbyville, he was the son of Kim Garlitch and Lori (Moore) Garlitch.
Survivors include his father of Shelbyville; mother of Surprise, Ariz.; two daughters, Emily Dawn Root of Greensburg and Jillian MaKenna Garlitch, of Shelbyville; grandparents, Bob and Marcia Moore of Arizona City, Ariz.; several aunts and uncles; and his fiancee, Candi Sexton of Shelbyville and her parents Donald Sexton of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Cynthia Scribner of Panama City Beach, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth Verl and Mae Ellen (Buchanan) Garlitch.
Mr. Garlitch was a production operator at KT Corp. for the last 1-1/2 years. He previously was employed with Great State Inc.
He graduated in 1996 from Shelbyville High School and had attended Culver Stockton College, where he was a member of TKE and on the soccer team.
He was a member of Moose Lodge No. 2118 and attended St. Mark Lutheran Church.
Mr. Garlitch was an avid golfer and soccer player.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.; and from 9 to 10 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1560 N. Michigan Road.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Howard Whitecotton Officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
