Virginia "Nell" Branson, 57, of Shelbyville, died Friday, Aug. 12, 2005.
Born Aug. 30, 1947, in Bowling Green, Ky., she was the daughter of Charles William and Dorothy Mae (McCoullgh) Harrison. She married Gerald Branson on Aug. 2, 1982, and he survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Dawn Mechelle Hernandez (husband, Lauro) Cambray of Waldron; two sons, Joseph Leroy (wife, Karey) Banfield of Indianapolis and Toby of Shelbyville; stepsons, Jeff Branson and David Branson, both of St. Omer, Tim Branson, Danny (wife, Dee) Branson and Andy (wife, Karin) Branson, all of Shelbyville; four stepdaughters, Beth (husband, Randy) Sturgill, Debbie (husband, Scott) Foster and Donna Alvey, all of North Carolina, and Carmen (husband, Chuck) Stroup of Shelbyville; one brother, Jerry Harrison of Denver, Colo.; five sisters, Pattie (husband, Jerry) Banfield, Geraldine Dabelow, Annette (husband, Donald) West and Connie (husband, Jerry) Gray, all of Terre Haute, and Peggy (husband, John) Stiegelmeyer of Indianapolis; and 16 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Lois Foster.
Mrs. Branson had been employed with Knauf for more than 25 years, retiring in 1998.
She was a member of Rays Crossing Christian Church.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at Carmony-Ewing Broadway Street Chapel, Freeman Family Funeral Homes, 232 W. Broadway St.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jerri Cadwallader officiating.
Interment will be in Bennett Cemetery.
