Virginia Elaine Wilhere, 50, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2014 at Franciscan St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born October 14, 1963, in Gloversville, New York, the daughter of Floyd and Alta (Walker) Camp.
Survivors include her daughters, Ashley Camp of Shelbyville and Tristyn Camp of Fairland; sisters, Nanette Thurston and Melissa Doak, both of Shelbyville, Corol Burton of Plainfield, Dennia Eubanks of Cape May Court House, New Jersey; brothers, Donald Camp of Napolean, Ohio and James Camp of Defiance, Ohio; grandchildren, Elijah Piercy, Juelyus Reid and Lincoln Wiley; significant other, Mike Horsley, Jr. of Shelbyville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Debra Jackson; and brother, Rickey Hamel.
Virginia was a cook at Hampton Inn.
She loved to travel.
Virginia enjoyed decorating cakes for various events.
A gathering of friends will be from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Mike Ramirez officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Virginia Wilhere Memorial Fund, in care of the funeral home.
