Virginia "Sue" Kester

Virginia "Sue" Kester, 80, of Shelbyville passed away Monday, October 12, 2009 at her residence. Born January 12, 1929 in Sullivan, Indiana, she was the daughter of Ernest and Georgia (Yeager) Kester. Survivors include her nine cats; Katie, Jamie, Toby, Terry, Jetta, Bee Bee, Maggie, Tammy and Mack, which she loved. She was a member of Unity Truth Center in Indianapolis; Eastern Star-Naamah Chapter # 73 and Indiana Association of Eductional Secretaries. Ms. Kester had been the payroll clerk at Shelbyville Central School since 1951, retiring recently, she will be greatly missed by her friends and family at the schools. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Cottage Hill Cemetery in Brazil.
