Walker “Buck” Maulden III, 59, of St. Omer, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015 at his residence.
He was born August 18, 1955, in New Albany, the son of Walker Jr. and Geneva (Lee) Maulden. He married Mary E. Harden on March 31, 1984, and she survives.
Also surviving are his sons, Jason M. Copperwaite and wife, Michelle, of Corydon, Jonathan E. Carter and wife, Kindra, of Metamora, and James W. Maulden and wife, Elaina, of Shelbyville; daughters, Kathy J. Holloman and husband, Travis, of Waldron and Anna E. Pershing and husband, Jason, of New Whiteland; sisters, Nora Galyean and husband, Rich, of Greensburg, Gina Dickerson of St. Paul, Jenny Kuntz and husband, Larry, of Blue Ridge and Pinky VanStraten of St. Omer; and 17 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Herbert Maulden; and sister, Betty Jo Dunn.
Buck attended Floyd High School in Floyd Knobs.
He was a construction worker and formerly worked at Maddox Mechanical in Indianapolis and J.E. Mechanical.
Buck was a talented musician and devoted his life to family, singing and playing any instrument with strings.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 24, 2015 at the funeral home, with Rev. Dr. Robb Barlow and Rev. Ronnie Caine officiating.
