Wanda F. Headlee, 74, of Shelbyville passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Major Hospital.
Born December 5, 1937, in Connersville, she was the daughter of Eugene and Francis (Panky) Wells. She married Roger Headlee on June 28, 1957, and he preceded her in death on October 6, 2006.
Survivors include her sons, Russell Headlee and Richard (wife, Kathy) Headlee, both of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Ravin Headlee, Seiger Pogue, Charlie Headlee and Chrissy Jessup; and great-grandchildren, Megan, Nate, Jalen and Zander.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Nolan Wells, Carl Wells and Harold Wells; and sisters, Barbara Eddy and Juanita Bickle.
Mrs. Headlee was a secretary at Hale's Abstract for approximately 20 years and had previously worked for Shelby County in the Clerk's and Recorder's offices for approximately 20 years.
She graduated from Greensburg High School in 1956.
Mrs. Headlee enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially Rusty Wallace and Tony Stewart. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and working crossword puzzles.
Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm, Friday, March 9, 2012 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 1 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Interment will be in East Hill Cemetery in Rushville.
