Wanda Kincaid

June 25, 1924 — March 24, 2008

Wanda Kincaid, 83, of Shelbyville passed away Monday, March 24, 2008, at Major Hospital. Born June 25, 1924, in Sugar Creek Township, she was the daughter of Claude and Maude (Stansifer) Lancaster. She married Edgar A. Kincaid on August 18, 1945, and he preceded her in death on January 17, 1982. Survivors include her son, Meredith "Butch" Kincaid of Shelbyville; daughter, Janet Comstock of Fountaintown; sisters, Gladys King of Greenwood and Hazel Lancaster of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Todd Comstock, Trisha Ennis and Jared Kincaid; and great-grandchildren, Alison Tucker, Hannah Comstock, Kylie Ennis, Hayden Comstock and Mia Ennis. She also was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Dorothy Collins and Glendola Barth. Mrs. Kincaid had been employed at Pakards in Indianapolis from 1942 to 1945 and at T.R.W. Cinch in Shelbyville for 29 years, retiring in 1985. She was a former member of Shelby Senior Services, Eagles Lodge and the American Legion Auxiliary. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Bob Prather officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Shelby Senior Services, 1504 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN 46176
