Wanda M. Merhoff, 91, of Shelbyville passed Friday, September 19, 2008, at Major Hospital.
Born August 21, 1917, in Osford, Indiana, she was the daughter of Carl and Edith (Haas) Cochran. She married John H. Merhoff on September 25, 1943, and he survives.
Other survivors include her daughters, Lynn (husband, Michael) Wheeler of Shelbyville and Mo Merhoff (husband, Paul Reis) of Carmel; granddaughters, Celia Wheeler (husband, Jason) Stephens of New Palestine and Emily Wheeler (husband, Chris) Lefebvre of Indianapolis; and great-grandchildren, Eli, Ian, Aidan, Jack and Alex.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Keith Cochran.
Mrs. Merhoff lived in Shelbyville since 1985. She previously lived in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
She was a homemaker and formerly employed at Purdue University in the agriculture department.
Mrs. Merhoff graduated from Oxford High School in 1937 and from Indiana Business College in 1939.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at First Presbyterian Church, 124 W. Broadway St.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Jerry Kuyk officiating.
Interment will be in Justus Cemetery in Oxford.
