Wanda M. Teasley, 98, of Shelbyville passed away Monday, July 30, 2018 at Ashford Place Health Campus in Shelbyville.
She was born March 10, 1920, in Dugger, the daughter of James “Russell” and Vernice (Brodie) Exline. She married Dudley R. Teasley on October 5, 1942, and he preceded her in death on June 30, 1986.
Wanda is survived by her daughters, Judy Davis of North Vernon, Candice Lynn Teasley of Shelbyville, Robin Lee Fast of Bradenton, Florida, Shawn Coder and husband, Chris, of Indianapolis and Dottie Taylor of Dimondale, Michigan; daughter-in-law, Tylene Rhude of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Michell Daidone of Wanamaker, Michael P. Teasley and wife, Robin, and Sonja Teasley, both of Camby, Rachel Coder and Nathaniel Coder and wife, Jessa, both of Indianapolis, Joshua Coder and wife, Jackie, of Mayville, Wisconsin, Kelley Coder of Boca Raton, Florida, and Dakota Carney, of Indianapolis; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to Dudley, Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; son, Dudley Michael “Mike” Teasley; brothers, Joseph Exline, James “Sparky” Exline and Emerson Exline; and great-grandson, Jaxson Teasley.
Wanda graduated from Dugger Union High School in 1938.
She was a member of the Blue River Walking Club and the writers group at the Shelbyville Library.
Wanda enjoyed camping and boating. She was passionate about her flower and vegetable gardens.
Private family services will be conducted at a later date.
Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
