Wanda Woosley, 91, of Morristown, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Waldron Health and Rehab in Waldron.
She was born May 19, 1923, in Butler County, Kentucky, the daughter of Henry and Eva (Embry) Bratcher. On November 5, 1948, she married her husband of 53 years, Paul Leon Woosley, and he preceded her in death on December 16, 2001.
Wanda is survived by her sons, James Tarrance and wife, Faye, of Salem, Missouri, Leon Woosley and wife Kathy, of Mississippi, Eugene Woosley of Thailand, Barney Woosley and wife, Linda, of Greenfield, and Jerry Len Woosley and Larry Woosley, both of Morristown; a daughter, Sue Woosley Drake and husband, Stephen, of Indianapolis; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Jack Tarrance and Don Tarrance; two brothers; and four sisters.
Wanda was a member of Zion Harmony Baptist Church in Butler County, Kentucky.
She retired from IPC in 1983, with 15 years of service.
Wanda was a fabulous gardener. She drew flowers and was also an excellent seamstress.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 5, 2015 at the funeral home, with Bill Farmer officiating.
Interment will be at Hanover Cemetery in Shelby County.
