Warren E. Carmony, 86, Shelbyville, passed away January 27, 2009.
Born October 12, 1922 in Rush County, Indiana. He was former owner of Carmony Funeral Homes in Shelbyville retiring in 1980.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church and past President of the International Order of the Golden Rule, as assoication of Funeral Home Owners. He served in the US Army Air Corps in World War II as a Second Lt. with the 8th Air Force. He was a B-24 Pilot in the European Theatre credited with 13 missions.
He is survived by sons: David A. (MaryAnne), Thom D. (Vicki) and Robert W. (Robin) Carmony; brother Wayne H. (Marjorie) Carmony, nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and special friend Maxine Adams.
Services will be at 12 pm, Saturday, January 31, 2009 at First United Methodist Church in Shelbyville with visitation after 10 am.
Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
