Wayne Crisman

August 23, 1936 — November 4, 2007

Wayne Crisman, 71, of Manilla passed away Sunday, November 4, 2007, at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. Born August 23, 1936, in Clarksburg, he was the son of William H. and Delphia (Watkins) Crisman. He married Juanita Stevens on January 22, 1957, and she survives. Other survivors include his sons, Carl (wife, Angie) Crisman, Todd Crisman, Jim (wife, Rhonda) Crisman and Darrin (wife, Jana) Crisman, all of Shelbyville, Stephen (wife, Donna) Crisman and Jeff Crisman, both of Manilla, and Scott Crisman of Arlington; brothers, Delbert (wife, Judy) Crisman of Homer and Ray (wife, Judy) Crisman of Richmond; six grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; three great-grandsons; and three stepgreat-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bill Crisman. Mr. Crisman had been employed at Knauf Insulation for 45 years, in the shipping department of the warehouse, retiring in 2001. He formerly served as a reserve police officer for the Shelbyville Police Department. He graduated from Manilla High School in 1956. Mr. Crisman was a member of the GMP Local 32. He loved gardening, Pomeranians, Labradors and Cocker Spaniels. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN 46176. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Bennett Cemetery in Shelby County.
