Wayne Lee Mohr

Wayne Lee Mohr, 28, of Fairland, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. He was born June 19, 1985, in Indianapolis, the son of Lowell Wayne Mohr and Roxanne (Glackman) Huey. Survivors include his father and step-mother, Lowell and Michele Mohr of Fairland; mother, Roxanne Huey of Shelbyville; lifetime caregiver paternal grandmother, Betty Mohr of Fairland; step-grandparents, Gene and Joan Scheffler of Shelbyville; sisters, Vanessa Mohr of Shelbyville and Lindsay Metcalfe of Fairland; brothers, Robbie (wife, Ashley) Metcalfe of Fairland and Jack Huey of Shelbyville; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Wayne Mohr; and maternal grandparents, Charles and Carolyn Glackman. Wayne was a lifetime resident of Fairland. He attended several schools in Shelby County through the Blue River Special Education Cooperative and graduated from Triton Central High School in 2006; he was currently enrolled in the Shares Life Skills Program at the Shares Facility in Shelbyville, and thoroughly enjoyed his days there. He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church, where he attended with his grandmother. Wayne loved all types of music and songs. He enjoyed spending time at home with his family, he especially loved hearing his young cousins playing and laughing. Wayne was a happy young man who loved his family and was loved dearly by his family, friends and caregivers. He will be truly missed by his family and all who knew him, especially his loving, selfless, lifetime caregiver-Grandma Betty Mohr. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm, Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Pleasant View Baptist Church, 12442 Southeastern Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46259 and from 10 to 11 am, Friday, September 20, 2013 at the church. Funeral services will be at 11 am, Friday at the church, with Pastor Tom Strong officiating. Interment will be in New Palestine Cemetery in New Palestine.
