Wiladean Witt, 84 of Morristown passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2009, at Morristown Manor.
Born December 14, 1924, in Oran, Missouri, she was the daughter of John and Ruth (Moore) Pippin. She married Charles A. Witt and he preceded her in death in 1980.
Survivors include her sons, Carl (wife, Jackie) Witt of Okeechobee, Florida, Tom (wife, Rachel) Witt of Canton, Michigan, Wally (wife, Maggie) Witt of Vista, California and Richard (wife, Robin) Witt of Fairland; daughters, Pat Summitt of Rockford, Illinois and Jackie (husband, Stan) Brewer of Indianapolis; brothers, Glenn Pippin of California and Leon Pippin of Florida; sister, Imogene Whorton of Missouri; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, J.C. Pippin and Richard Pippin; and sister, Maxine Trost and Wilma James.
Mrs. Witt had formerly worked at the Telephone Co. and as a seamstress.
She graduated from Oran High School in 1942.
Mrs. Witt was a member of Boggstown Presbyterian Church, where she was very active and a member of the ladies' froups.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Pastor Sandi Martin officiating.
Interment will be in Boggstown Cemetery.
