William Alfred Terrell, Jr., 73, of Morristown passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital.
Born August 19, 1935 in Bedford, he was the son of William Alfred Terrell and Sarah (McCall) Terrell Mills. He married Shirley Keller on October 18, 1956 and celebrated 52 years of marriage and she survives.
Other survivors include his sons, William (wife, Amy) Terrell III of Shelbyville and Jerry Terrell of Morristown; daughters, Debbie (husband, Steve) Hagen of Monticello, Teresa (husband, Bryan) Ballman of Maryland and Karen (husband, Ted) Hauk of Arlington; grandchildren, Matthew Hagen, Heidi Hagen, Hannah Hagen, Nathan Ballman, Ryan Ballman, Justin Hauk, Jordan Hauk and Allyson Hauk; great-grandchild, Ava.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Terrell worked for General Motors Corporation, retiring after 47 years as a journeyman in machine repair.
He was a very loving husband, an awesome father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Mr. Terrell was an avid car lover, a Harley Davidson enthusiast and a proud sponsor of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Motorcycle Drill Team.
He was a member of the Morristown Church of the Nazarene.
Mr. Terrell attended Shawswick High School in Lawrence County.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Frazier Chapel of Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 124 E. North St., Morristown.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Morristown Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor Howard Robbins officiating.
Interment will be in Asbury Cemetery.
