William D. "Bill" Fritz

William D. “Bill” Fritz, 66, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, January 31, 2022, at MHP Medical Center in Shelbyville. He was born December 11, 1955, in Shelbyville, the son of Herbert and Eleanor (Garnier) Fritz. Bill is survived by his daughters, Kerri West, Tiffany Winkler and husband, Jonathon, and Melissa Fritz, all of Shelbyville, and Tanya Hall of Indianapolis; brother, David Fritz and wife, Jan, of Shelbyville; sister, Melinda Sosbe of New Castle; grandchildren, Jonathan Franklin, Jae Euell, Ty Mourey, Katie Mourey, Christopher Hall, Austin Hall, Paxton Winkler, Carson Winkler, Zeb Martin and Gabe Martin; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Bill graduated in 1973 from Waldron High School. He retired from the City of Shelbyville, in 2021. Bill enjoyed going bowling, playing softball, hunting and fishing. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2022, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
