William E. "Bill" Bruner, 70, of Shelbyville, died Wednesday, June 7, 2006.
Born Sept. 4, 1935, in Zionsville, he was the son of Orville J. and Eva J. (Berry) Bruner. He married Ann Reimann on Oct. 7, 1956, and she survives.
Other survivors include one daughter, Ann Angel Fitzgerald of St. Paul; one son, William R. ?Will? (wife, Christine) Bruner of Waldron; two brothers, Ronald G. Bruner of Shelbyville and Robert J. Bruner of Fort Wayne; and three grandchildren, Abigail Rose Fitzgerald, Allison Bruner and Shawn Settles.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Marilyn Seward.
Mr. Bruner lived in Shelby County most of his life.
He was the president of Midwest Gasket Corp. in Milroy since 1977. Prior to that he was employed with Hoosier Gasket in Indianapolis.
Mr. Bruner was a U.S. Army veteran.
He graduated in 1953 from Flat Rock High School.
Mr. Bruner was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where he served as a deacon and elder; Masonic Lodge Norristown chapter; and Shelbyville Elks Lodge.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gary W. Huffman officiating.
Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
