Wilma Lee (Sheets) Hester, 72, of Morristown passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis.
Born July 17, 1935, in Madison, she was the daughter of Russell Gale and Minnie Doris (Stanton) Sheets.
Survivors include her sons, Wendell Alois (wife, Teresa) Hester of Shirley and Kenneth Eugene (wife, Debbie) Hester of Gloucester, Va.; daughter, Lora Lee Hester of Laurel; brother, James Harry Sheets of New Port Richey, Florida; grandchildren, William, Kata, Lucas, Christina, Nichole, Cory and Jessica; and great-granddaughter, Brookelyn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, son, William Leighton Hester, in 1965; brother, Alois Gale Sheets.
Ms. Hester was formerly a school teacher in Indianapolis and Rushville schools; the activity director at Morristown Nursing Home and then office administrator for Lowell Spencer Agencies, retiring in 2003.
She graduated from Madison High School in 1953 and Ball State Teachers College in 1958.
Ms. Hester was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Lodge No. 530 in Madison and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 102 in Morristown. She attended Morristown United Methodist Church.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Morristown United Methodist Church, 221 S. Washington St. in Morristown, with the Rev. Kenneth Wooden officiating.
Interment will be in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
