Wilma Lucille Watson, 86, of Plainfield, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Miller of Mooresville.
She was born January 10, 1930 in French Lick, the daughter of James R. and Elzena (Sutton) Clements. She married Walter Norbert Watson on January 16, 1948, and he preceded her in death on September 19, 1994.
Wilma is survived by her son, Michael R. Watson and wife, Nancy, of Plainfield; daughter, Diana Eads and husband Jeff, of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Lisa Compton and husband, Ben, Amy Hisgen, Taylor Eads, Brandy Wood and husband, Chris, and Tara Cummins and husband, Tim; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; four brothers; and two sisters.
Wilma graduated from French Lick High School in 1947.
She was a member of First Christian Church and the French Lick Order of Eastern Star.
Wilma retired from Indiana Bell/Ameritech on October 1, 1986, where she worked in the engineering group.
She enjoyed birdwatching, NASCAR and sports, especially the Indiana Pacer and Indianapolis Colts.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2016 at Forest Hill Cemetery, 705 Morris Avenue in Shelbyville.
