Winfred “Win” West, 83, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Kindred Hospital Indiana South in Greenwood.
He was born November 27, 1930, in Somerset, Kentucky, the son of Martin and Audrey (Rainwater) West.
Survivors include his daughter, Debby Theobald and husband, Mike, of Shelbyville; son, Vic West of Shirley; grandchildren, Shelly McMichael, Michael Theobald, Jr., Heidi Nunn and Megan Kendall; and great-grandchildren, Kenzie, Dalton, Logan, Emma, Katie, Ashtyn, Caity, Trisdyn, Shelby and Kegan.
Win was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Garvin West; daughter-in-law, Margo West; and companion, Nona Paul.
He attended school in Pulaski County, Kentucky.
Win retired as a fork lift operator at Ford Motor Company in 1993, with over 30 years of service.
He enjoyed spending time with family, traveling and going out to eat.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2014 at the funeral homes, with Rev. Robert Campbell officiating.
Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
