Zelma Lee Wayman, 97, of Fairland died Thursday September 13, 2007 at Waldron Health Care Home.
Born August 3, 1910 in Munfordville, KY, she was the daughter of Oscar and Emily Ann (Puckett) Avery. She married Alfred Wayman on September 16, 1930 and he preceded her in death on April 24, 1969.
Survivors include her sons, Ronnie R. (wife, Toni) Wayman and John Michael (wife, Carlene) Wayman, both of Shelbyville; daughter Connie (husband, David) Nicholas of Pleasant View; sister Katherine (husband, Gilbert) Wood of Franklin; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters Marion Conover and Arlene Clark; and brothers Jack Avery, James Avery, Paul Avery, and Duard Avery.
Mrs. Wayman had been employed at KCL Corp. for more than 25 years, retiring in 1970.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Friday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes, Carmony-Ewing Harrison Street Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 3 PM Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints, 114 Rampart Rd.
Interment will be in Fairland Cemetery.
